Porsche AG is Awarded the German Education Prize 2016
On 21 April 2016, Porsche AG of Zuffenhausen was awarded the “Special Prize” in Berlin for its “International Dealer Academy” training programme developed and implemented in collaboration with the Executive School of the University of St.Gallen. The prize is awarded by TÜV Süd which is under the patronage of Dr. Johanna Wanka, the German Federal Minister of Education and Research.
The “Porsche Dealer Academy” training and development programme was designed by the Custom Area of the Executive School in 2012 and has been rolled out worldwide since 2013. Following three years of successful implementation, this CAS for the training of general managers and investors in Porsche’s global dealer network is thus reaping the reward for the hard work and dedication of all those involved.
The programme was developed out of the training campaign “Porsche Business Excellence” in Zuffenhausen, an initiative aimed at improving the quality of management in Porsche centres all over the world. Currently being run for the fourth time, the programme has been a major success in the participants’ various markets and has also served to promote significant and effective change within the Porsche centres and therefore within the worldwide dealer network. The local roll-out in the various markets offers further proof of the broad, beacon-like appeal of the Dealer Academy and its contribution.
